A retired Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Amina Augie served with distinction for over four decades in the judiciary. Her illustrious career included roles as Presiding Justice across multiple divisions of the Court of Appeal before her elevation to the Supreme Court in 2016, where she served until her retirement in 2023.
A dedicated scholar and mentor, Justice Augie seamlessly integrated judicial service with academia, teaching and inspiring generations of legal professionals. She is a prolific author on human rights, women’s rights, and child protection, and a sought-after speaker on legal reforms, financial crimes, electoral disputes, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
Honours and Legacy
Recipient of the Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR), Nigeria’s prestigious national honour for exceptional service to the nation.
